When I took up collage in a more focused manner I first made collages inspired by Max Ernst and even Monty Python. In my collages I emphasized the absurd meeting between disparate people, things and phenomena.

Later on I became more interested in the collages of Kurt Schwitters which are more oriented towards abstract composition. I also found his work appealing because of the material he used: litter and waste; wrappers and bits of papers he found on the streets of Hanover. But I usually, for sentimental reasons, like to include a person, a real life object, a face ar an animal in my work. The girls are from a cover of an instruction book in handicrafts.
