This is not my illustration, I just put some color in to make it more interesting, but it emphasizes how words and pictures influence each other. The text goes in english; Fig 9. the bleeding part of the body, which gives this picture a rather surreal quality. In the context of the book from which this picture is stolen it makes much more sense because it is a first aid handbook. When making my illustrations I try not to illuminate the obvious rather I try, most of the time, to find a surprising analogy. See also ill.html
